Infosys Technologies Limited leads in global IT infrastructure outsourcing based on highest client feedback scores and a "standout story" on innovation, as per the Forrester report.

The Forrester report, `The Forrester Wave: Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing, Q1 2009', states, "outstanding reference client scores - and a standout story on innovation for clients - gave Infosys a significant boost in the current offering rating."

"We believe Forrester's rating confirms Infosys' position in the market and our commitment to providing customers with innovative end-to-end transformation solutions that meet their unique challenges. Infosys is one of the two service providers among 15 vendors evaluated for this study who have received the highest scores in client feedback. We believe these scores are a testimony to the value which we have been delivering to our customers," said Anand Nataraj, vice president and business unit head, infrastructure management services, Infosys Technologies.

According to the report, "Infosys has made infrastructure services a strategic focus and the firm is clearly getting into good position to act on technology trends such as automation, standardisation, consolidation, and virtualisation.''

Infosys, with over 103,000 employees in over 50 offices worldwide, leverages the global delivery model to serve customers.

Bangalore-based Infosys, meanwhile, is keen on maximum utilisation of employees and has a low tolerance to poor performance in the backdrop of global economic turmoil. Nearly 2,100 employees in the software firm faces the axe, now.

The company, however, will put them on a performance improvement course and give employees a chance to improve before asking them to leave, said Infosys CEO Kris Gopalakrishnan.
