Infotech Enterprises acquires US-based network engineering firm Wellsco Inc

After having acquired US firm Daxcon Engineering in January, Hyderabad-based Infotech Enterprises Limited today said that it has acquired the US-based network engineering and management company Wellsco Inc.

As with the Daxcon acquisition, Infotech did not disclose the acquisition price.

The acquisition was made through Infotech's wholly-owned subsidiary Infotech Enterprises America Inc (IEAI) in an all-cash deal.

Arkansas-based Wellsco, founded in 1981 by Anne Wells and incorporated as Wellsco, Inc in 1985, provides engineering, data conversion, software development, IT facilities management, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) development and support, Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) applications, database design & management and landbase development.

Wellsco has completed data conversion projects for some of the largest telephone companies in the world, marine mapping for many world government agencies, and Geographic Information System (GIS) projects from municipalities to the highest levels of world governments.
Its clients include AT&T, Verizon Communications, Windstream Communications among others.

With additional offices in California, Florida, Illinois and India and employing around 180 people, Wellsco has an annual turnover of approximately $12 million.
