India Post, which opened an account with Twitter three months back, now has 1,164 followers and in a recent tweet has asked users to use the account to file complaints and queries through Post@PostOfficeIndia.

With the account people can now share their views, post queries and comments, elicit information, etc, on anything related to India Post.

However, the department seems to lack the manpower to efficiently operate the twitter account, which may delay addressing users' grievances according to some users.

According to Radhika Doraiswamy, secretary, Indian Post, the Twitter account was started to promote its India Post's products and services and to enable the department to reach out to users and get their feedback with a view to improving services.

India Post says it has found the feedback very useful in improving its services.
