Reliance sets 27 November record date for bonus share allotment

Reliance Industries has fixed 27 November 2009 as the 'record date' for determining the shareholders of the company entitled to receive one fully-paid bonus equity share for every one existing fully-paid equity share of Rs10 Each.

Shareholders whose names appear on the register of members of the company and/or the register of beneficial owners maintained by the depositories as at the close of business hours on 27 November 2009, will be entitled to receive the bonus shares, RIL said in a release.

Members holding shares in physical form will be issued bonus shares in physical form unless they opt to receive the said shares in dematerialised form, in which case they must inform Karvy Computershare Private Limited, 46, Avenue 4, Street No1, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad 500 034 no later than the record date, the release said.

Members holding shares in dematerialised form will be credited electronically the bonus shares in their respective depository accounts as per the information furnished by the depositories as beneficial owners. The members who opt to receive bonus shares in physical form, must alo intimate Karvy quoting their DP ID and client ID details not later than the record date, RIL said.

Transfer requests received by Karvy after the 'record date' will not be considered for determining the members entitled to receive bonus shares for whatever reason, RIL said.
