Acer launches sub-Rs 40,000 notebook

Mumbai: Acer today launched its new notebook the Aspire 1362 NLC. This notebook is priced at Rs 35, 999, targeting SMEs, home and students, for whom it has announced a rebate programme, under which students can avail a special rebate of Rs 2,500 on this product.

The Aspire 1362 NLC is an entry-level notebook and equipped with a 15 inch TFT screen. It is powered by an AMD 2800 Sempron processor and is run by the AMD PowerNow! technology which enables the user to enjoy a battery life of close to three hours. The notebook has a 256 MB DDR RAM and 40 GB HDD.

The notebook offers connectivity with four USB ports along with a 24 X CD RW +DVD-Combo optical drive. Also a part of the notebook is the 56k fax and integrated LAN. The Aspire 1362 NLC sports a metallic finish with sleek lines and a 2- spindle Folio design featuring a stylish Acer logo plaque. The Aspire 1362 NLC runs on a Linux operating system and comes with a one-year warranty and a 100 hours Internet Pack.
