New footwear magazine launched

A new magazine devoted to footwear and accessories business called Shoes & Accessories has been launched by the retail and fashion information and publishing group Images Group.
Amitabh Taneja has been named as the editor-in-chief, with Annou Iyer as its executive editor.
The monthly magazine, to be priced at Rs 100, is a joint venture between Amitabh Taneja and Amit Chopra, CEO and co-publisher, Images Access Multimedia.
Shoes & Accessories will have forecasts on trends, news, reportage, research, industry views.
The reach will be to retailers, manufacturers, fashion brand owners, marketers, store mangers, distributors, agents, fashion conscious consumers, fashion institutions, exporters, buying houses, buying agents, suppliers and service providers to the fashion makers and retailers.
The magazine would be available pan India as many footwear manufacturing and retailing clusters as based in non-metros.
Taneja has been in the publishing, online media services and related businesses for the past 20 years and is said to have been the force behind Images Business of Fashion, Images Retail, FNL, M, Sportwear India, Salon, and Progressive Grocer.
Chopra has been associated with the leather, footwear and accessories industry for the past 20 years. He was heading the Footwear & Accessories sourcing office in India and has a hands-on experience on the subject. He has worked with leading organizations such as BILT, Mesco and Groupe Vivarte with brands like Andre, Kookai, San Marina, Lahalle!, Mercalzados, Nafnaf, Minelli, Chaussland, Accessorie Diffusion and Fosco, among others.
