Mitsubishi Lancer
05 Jul 2007

The Mitsubishi Lancer has both style and safety. Its crisp and attractive curves always merit appreciative looks. The styling is standard Japanese, with a slight touch of the European. The build quality is excellent as in all Japanese cars and the engine is very responsive and smooth. The transmission shift quality is also superbly smooth.
The Lancer is equipped with a 1,468cc, 12-valve, 87-horsepower petrol engine that produces enough power to propel it from 0 to 100 in just 12 seconds. The 1.5-litre engine produces good torque and power in the low- to mid-rev range, which is most commonly used in everyday driving. It also delivers superb fuel economy. The five-speed manual transmission features keyless synchronisers to provide silky smooth shifts and optimal gear ratios for an invigorating drive.
The lancer has all the safety features expected of a family car — impact bars, child-proof locking, computer-designed crumple zones and an integrated side and upper frame to ensure that the cabin stays secure in the event of an accident. In addition it has ventilated disc brakes in front and drum-brakes at the rear.
The Lancer has a comfortable and adjustable seating that assures ample head and leg-room in both the front and rear. The Lancer offers a technologically advanced suspension system. The long stroke of the McPherson strut front suspension and an advanced independent multi-link rear suspension gives the Lancer manoeuvrability and grip over the road.
The Lancer's powerful front ventilated disc brakes ensure a reassuring brake feel. The Lancer is built of high-quality materials that absorb sound and vibration. The user-friendly cockpit puts the driver in total control of his or her environment.
