Air India, Aerostar alliance to offer engine MRO services in West Asia

Mumbai: Air India and Sharjah-based Aerostar Asset Management have entered into an alliance to provide engine repair and management solutions to airline operators across West Asia. The alliance will work under the brand name 'The A Team.'

The A Team will utilise existing engine overhaul facilities of Air India at Mumbai and the marketing set-up of Aerostar in West Asia, a press statement said.

The alliance will provide repair services for jet engines, such as GE CF6-50 and 80 series, P&W 4000 series, GE-90 series and CFM56-7 series and will cover CFM56-5 series engines in the near future.

Both companies recently executed an marketing agreement and will formally launch the brand at the upcoming Dubai Air Show which will be held in the period 15-19 November.

Aerostar Asset Management is a company promoted by the ETA Star Group which has a strong presence in West Asia. Aerostar has been involved in jet engine management for various customers since 2005.
