Construction of Mohali international airport to commence next month

Chandigarh: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) is set to commence construction of the Mohali international airport from next month. A joint venture company for the Rs550 crore project would be formed between the AAI and the State governments of Punjab and Haryana.
The work will commence with the construction of a boundary wall and levelling of the 306-acre property.
The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) will pay Rs230 crore as its share in the project to the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA).
PricewaterhouseCoopers would be the consultants for the project.
