Nagpur: Air India's low cost service, Air-India Express, will connect the central Indian city of Nagpur with Singapore from mid-April this year. The flight will operate thrice a week on the Nagpur-Kolkata-Bangkok-Singapore sector from the Dr Ambedkar International Airport at Nagpur.

With the introduction of this service, Singapore will become the fifth international destination to be connected to Nagpur. The other four destinations include Sharjah (Air Arabia), Doha (Qatar Airways), Dubai (Air India Express) and Bangkok (Air India).

Currently, AI Express operates a Kolkata-Bangkok-Singapore flight twice a week, but with the arrival of new aircraft will also extend the flight to Nagpur.
