India's second largest private carrier by passengers flown, Jet Airways, plans to launch a daily direct service on the Mumbai-Dhaka route using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The new service will launch on 15 September, says Jet Airways.

This will be Jet Airway's third daily service to Dhaka, supplementing to its Delhi-Dhaka and Kolkata-Dhaka routes.

"With the launch of our Mumbai-Dhaka service, passengers from Bangladesh may connect on to Jet Airways' services to North America, Europe and the Gulf, as well as other ASEAN destinations, via our hubs in Mumbai and Delhi," said Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, CEO of Jet Airways.
