Kingfisher launches Mumbai-London daily services

Mumbai: Kingfisher Airlines launches its daily non-stop Mumbai-London services from today making it the airline's second overseas connection after Bangalore-London. This service had been launched in September last year.

According to airline sources, the carrier has deployed a brand new Airbus 330-200 aircraft, configured in two classes, Kingfisher First and Kingfisher Class. They also said the flight had almost 100 per cent occupancy.

The Mumbai-London flight will take off from Mumbai at 1.50 pm (IST) and arrive at Heathrow's Terminal 4 at 5.55 pm (GMT). The return flight from London will leave at 8.30 pm (GMT) and arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Terminal the next day at 11 am (IST).

Officials indicated that the carrier would launch Mumbai-Hong Kong operations from 12 January and four days later, on 16 January, follow it up with the launch of the Mumbai-Singapore route.

The Bangalore headquartered Kingfisher will also connect Bangalore and Chennai with Sri Lankan capital Colombo from 19 January.
