Dallas-Fort Worth-based American Airlines has announced that it will soon roll out its PriorityAAccess scheme, which will offer privileges to the carrier's premium customers, including priority check-in services, dedicated security screening lanes at airports and exclusive boarding areas at gates.

The airports will include Los Angeles International and New York JFK.

American, the world's largest airline, said passengers would include AAdvantage elite status members, first class customers and business travellers. It said the offer is designed to make the airport and travel experience easier.

Mark Mitchell, the airline's managing director of customer experience, said: "American Airlines greatly appreciates the loyalty of our customers and we have been working hard to deliver the product features and recognition we know they value and deserve.

"PriorityAAccess benefits provide a differentiated experience for our top customers at the ticket counter, at security checkpoints and at the gate."

The scheme will be introduced on 30 September and is set to be fully implemented by the end of October.

American Airlines serves 250 cities in 40 countries with more than 4,000 daily flights.
