Mumbai: India's largest private carrier, Jet Airways, is all set to launch its service to Dubai from 23 August. Officials said the service would be a daily one with a direct flight each from Delhi and Mumbai.

The service will operate with an Airbus 330-200.

The launch of the Dubai service would also make Jet Airways the first private Indian carrier to fly to this Gulf destination.

Jet Airways debuted its international operations in August last year with a Mumbai-Brussels flight.
It currently operates to international destinations in the US, UK, China, Canada, the UAE and south-east Asia.

The airline plans to launch a service to Saudi Arabia this winter.

Jet Airways, which posted a net profit of Rs143 crore in Q1 FY 2008-09, has earned Rs1,377 crore through its international operations. Currently, its revenue from international operation accounts for 48 per cent of operating revenue.
