Mumbai: Jet Airways low cost carrier, JetLite, will see a change of guard at the top with its chief executive officer, Maunu von Lueders deciding to call it a day after just three months at the helm. Lueders was appointed as CEO on 5 April 2008, and is reported to have put in his papers some time ago.

Speaking to the media, Lueders said that he had completed his assignment and had been discussing the issue with the management for some time. He also said he was not leaving the airline for some other assignment. He added that he was not here to build a career - "my career is behind me," he said.

Lueders, a Finnish national, had taken over as CEO after his predecessor Garry Kingshott completed his contract with JetLite.

Jet Lite is the erstwhile Air Sahara, which Naresh Goyal's Jet Airways had acquired some time ago and then re branded as a low cost carrier.

Lueders said that the integration process subsequent to Air Sahara's acquisition by Jet Airways "was much deeper now", and hence he did not have much of a role to play in the present day. He is yet to decide on the date of his departure from the company, and says it could be sometime in August or September.
