India's largest carrier, Jet Airways, launched its daily Mumbai-Shanghai- San Francisco services on Saturday, 14 June. The new route is set to connect the Asian and North American economic and commercial hubs of Mumbai, Shanghai and San Francisco.

Jet Airways said it will operate these trans-Pacific flights with new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft that will fly in a three class configuration.

Services to San Francisco International Airport will now become the airline's fourth daily departure from India to North America, following launch of services from New York's JFK and Newark airports, and Toronto Pearson International Airport, within the past year.
