Mumbai: Flag carrier, Air India's budget arm Air India Express, will launch services on the Pune-Dubai sector from 18 June, officials said. The thrice-a- week service will operate with a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Pune airport reopened for commercial services only recently, as runway re-carpeting work had closed operations for almost three months.

Officials also said that the budget carrier would commence similar services that link Dubai with  Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Goa. New services will also link Kuwait and Kerala.

Sometime early next year, services will commence between Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, and Kolkata.
