BOC Aviation, the aircraft leasing arm of the Bank of China, has delivered the first of seven new Boeing 737-800s to Jet Airways and is scheduled to deliver another at the end of this month. All aircraft are on long-term leases.

The remaining five aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2010 and 2011.

The delivery took place in Seattle with the aircraft flying to New Delhi.

BOC Aviation first announced that it would lease two aircraft to Jet Airways in July last year. It subsequently signed agreements for the lease of another five.

"We are delighted to see our aircraft flying in Jet Airways livery", said Steven Townsend, BOC Aviation's chief commercial officer.

BOC Aviation has a portfolio of 78 modern aircraft leased to airlines worldwide. It also has 62 aircraft on firm order for delivery through to 2013.
