Bangalore: Indian IT companies QuEST Global Engineering and CADES Digitech have pipped other Indian IT majors to sign strategic agreements with Airbus for setting up dedicated centres for design of aircraft components and other engineering services. The agreements with comparatively minor IT players implements Airbus strategy to broaden and consolidate its international supplier footprint.

This strategy is in line with parent company EADS's Vision 2020.

While QuEST will focus on Airbus wing and pylon engineering activities, CADES will concentrate on fuselage engineering activities for Airbus.

Both the companies will have offices in Europe and dedicated centres in India.

QuEST and CADES, are both, existing EADS Engineering Strategic Suppliers.

The new agreement aims to consolidate engineering services, currently being sourced from several suppliers, and to focus development of competencies with these two Indian suppliers.
