Bombardier Commercial Aircraft appoints new director of sales for India

Hyderabad: Bombardier Commercial Aircraft has announced the appointment of Sunder Venkat to the position of Director, Sales - India, effective 1 September, 2008. 

In a statement, Bombardier said that given its continued focus on India, the Indian commercial aviation market, and its commitment to providing solutions to our airline customers, Venkat's base has been established in Bangalore, offering the reach to easily access current and future customers in the entire sub-continent. 

Venkat has almost 30 years of aviation business experience, operating out of the United States, and has served India-based airline customers since 1989. His wealth of knowledge, experience and in-depth understanding of customer needs, compliments Bombardier's extensive product and services spectrum, and enables it to offer the best solutions to current and future customers in India, the company's statement said.

Venkat is an MBA from the University of Hartford, Connecticut, a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-Madras). 

An ardent aviation enthusiast, he also holds an FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Instrument Rating, and a Seaplane rating.
