Seattle: Boeing said Wednesday that the first 777 Freighter, the company's newest cargo airplane, has been towed out of its factory in Everett, Washington and onto the flight line.

Work on the freighter will now continue in preparation for flight test this summer. Boeing will deliver the first 777 Freighter to launch customer, Air France, in Q4 of 2008.

The 777 Freighter is designed to fly farther, and provide more capacity, than any other twin-engine cargo airplane. It is based on the 777-200LR Worldliner passenger airplane and will be built on the same production line as all other models of the 777.

A total of 78 of the 777 Freighters have been ordered by 11 customers around the world.
