Boeing's first 777 Freighter enters final assembly

San Francisco: Boeing Co. said Thursday it had begun final assembly work on the B777 Freighter and that it expects the new cargo airplane to undergo flight tests this summer.

The Chicago-based aerospace company said it will deliver the first 777 Freighter to launch customer, Air France, in the fourth quarter of 2008.

So far, eleven customers worldwide have ordered a total of 78 B777 Freighters, the company said.
