Boeing has announced that it plans to change the name of its Alteon training organization to Boeing Training & Flight Services (BTFS) in a phased transition across the organization's global network ''in the months ahead.''

The name, according to the company, will reflect the organization's expanded capabilities for providing flight, maintenance, cabin safety and flight operations training.

With the addition of flight services, BTFS now offers customized flight and dispatch documentation, airplane performance data operational consulting and safety analysis.

Boeing Training & Flight Services counts more than 400 customers around the world and more than 100 regulatory agencies have accepted its training and services programs.

The customer support team attends to more than 12,000 in-service airplanes. The company's network of 20 locations houses more than 100 full-motion flight simulators.
