Air Deccan to boost chartered business with Learjets

Bangalore: Deccan Aviation aims to induct Learjet business aircraft as part of its chartered service's fleet in the current year. The induction of Lear Jets is intended to boost a business that is growing at a 30 per cent annual rate.

According to Deccan Aviation's finance director, Mohan Kumar, the company's chartered services business was expected to garner revenues of approximately Rs60 crore during the current year. The company's chartered operations division currently operates with a fleet of ten helicopters and three nine-seater aircraft. The company expects its business jets fleet to grow to a strength of 15 in five years.

Kumar said that the company witnessed increasing opportunities in the chartered business division owing to heightened business activity in the country.
