Meera Sharath appointed managing director of WPP's digita arm, Syzygy

Meera Sharath Chandra has joined the London office of Syzygy, WPP's digital agency, as managing director.
Prior to this, she was the president and national creative director at RMG Connect, JWT's direct marketing, customer relationship management and digital solutions company.
With over 26 years of experience, Chandra started her career with Maa Bozell and then moved to Everest Advertising as senior copywriter. After spending three years at Everest, she moved to JWT as creative supervisor.
Sharath Chandra worked with JWT for more than 11 years. In 1999, she joined the dot-com industry, starting her own company, called Avigna Technologies, in the US.
She moved back to India as vice-president and branch manager at Contract Chennai; she later moved to Contract's Mumbai office as vice-president.
Subsequently, she also worked with Mudra Marketing Services as national creative director across the non-traditional media business units; Tribal DDB India (interactive and new media) and Rapp Collins India (direct response and CRM). In January 2008, she moved to RMG Connect.
