Leroy Alvares becomes CEO of Wunderman India

Leroy Alvares has been appointed as CEO, Wunderman India, the direct marketing arm of Rediffusion-Y&R.
Alvares was earlier president of Mudra's digital arm, Tribal DDB.
Alvares joined Tribal DDB in 2006 as country head for all four offices in India. He was also with iContract the one-to-one direct marketing arm of Contract Advertising for six months, during which time the agency won its first-ever Gold Lion at Cannes in the direct marketing category for ICICI Bank, in 2004.
Wunderman entered India in 1997 as Wunderman Cato Johnson (WCJ) in Chennai. The direct marketing agency was renamed to Wunderman India in 2003. Its clients in India include Ford, Castrol, Volvo, Tata Motors, Jet Airways, Cadbury's, Pond's, ING Vysya, ICICI Prudential and Airtel.
Wunderman India has offices in Bengaluru, Chennai, New Delhi and Mumbai.
