Information technology hardware company HCL Infosystems Ltd along with its partner Motorola Inc has received an order worth about Rs100 crore from the Delhi government for a radio-based communications network.

The firms will jointly deploy a secure network for inter-departmental communication among government agencies like the police, fire services, hospitals and the Delhi Transport Corp during the Commonwealth Games, HCL said.

The network is a digital communication platform that operates on a secure spectrum, it said in a statement from Mumbai. The first-of-its kind network will be exclusive to Delhi government agencies.

HCL Infosystems makes personal computers and digital cameras as well as telecommunication and security equipment.
