But now it seems the problem has been sorted out and EWS is operational once again and users can avail the services as before.

Apologising for the inconvenience to Indian users on paypalblog.com, Dickson Seow clarified that those customers who did utilise the cheque services would still avail the $5 waiver from 29 July until further notice.

Seow wrote, ''We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you over the past few days. While we have received your appreciation for the advance notice and the refund of the cheque processing fee, we have also heard loud and clear that you highly value the ease-of-use of our electronic withdrawal service.''

Seow further wrote in his blog that customers being their first priority, PayPal worked non-stop to improve their service to them. He also thanked Indian customers for their patience and continued support. PayPal also announced that in return for their loyalty, the company would still provide the $5 processing fee refund for any cheque withdrawals made from 29 July until further notice.

He said that customers could login into their PayPal account and click 'contact us' at the bottom of the page for further queries.
