Xiaomi is set to launch a pre-Diwali flash sale, where consumers would be able to buy Mi goodies for Re1, while the Chinese smartphone maker planned to offer massive discounts in its leading devices as its pushed its own India website and app.

The company, which made flash sale a household name in India with its entry into the market in July last year, hopes to cash in on the festive season that typically drives retail businesses in the quarter.

It would use the same flash sale model, to sell products which it had not disclosed, for Rs1, starting 3 November 3 till 5 November.

Even as the details of the sale were posted on the company site and Facebook, Xiaomi's India head Manu Jain said on Twitter. "Re1 flash sales, special prices, n lots of exciting prizes on http://www.mi.com, during Nov 3, 4 & 5," Jain tweeted.

According to sources, while the company might not offer mobile stores for Rs1, it might well offer power banks, the Mi Band, earphones and a few other accessories at this rock-bottom price.

The enticing proposition is likely to attract customers to register in droves on the site, as they would be able to buy the undisclosed products in two flash sales at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm, on all the three days of sale, according to details available on Mi.com's India site.

Xiaomi has listed all the Diwali offers on a webpage, which include a Re1 flash sale, festival offers, "Light Mi Up" game contest, bumper offer, cashback with PayUMoney and product discounts. While all the deals and offered on the website look interesting, the Re1 flash sale had emerged as the main draw with the tech community.
