Germany says it will remain "watchful" of Chinese carmaker Li Shifu-founded Geely after it became the biggest investor in Mercedes-Benz owner Daimler with a $9-bn stake. Geely Holding Group already owns Volvo Cars AB and last year it took an almost $4-billion stake in truckmaker Volvo AB. It also owns London Taxi and controls British sports-car maker Lotus Cars
