Strike action fails to impact aviation services

Mumbai: Aviation services have remained largely unaffected by the strike action launched by 55,000 officers of 14 state-run oil companies. Only Air India has reported delays to some of its domestic services.
"Four Air India domestic flights were delayed due to the ongoing strike," an Air India spokesperson said, pointing out that the delays were of 25-30 minutes duration on an average.
Across the country, Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) too confirmed that services were by and large normal.
Amongst carriers, Jet Airways confirmed that it had made all arrangements to cope with the situation and so far was not affected by the strike action. Kingfisher Airlines said that it was monitoring the situation closely and was fully prepared to deal with the situation.
"We do not anticipate any immediate impact from the proposed strike and all flights will operate as per schedule," a Kingfisher Airlines statement said.
