Govt slashes excise duty on petrol, diesel; announces subsidy on LPG

The reduction in excise duty will reduce the price of petrol by Rs9.5 per litre and that of diesel by Rs7 per litre while the reintroduction of subsidy will reduce the price of LPG for domestic consumption by Rs200 per cylinder
