Educomp Solutions ties up with Lavasa Corporation to set up educational institutes

Educational services provider Educomp Solutions Ltd said on Monday it has entered into an agreement with Lavasa Corporation, to set up independent trusts, to build four educational institutes in Lavasa.

An international residential school will be set up by the joint venture which will begin operations this year. It will go on to develop two pre-primary schools and a residential day school in the next 3 years, Educomp said in a statement to the BSE.

Rajgopal Nogja, president, Lavasa Corporation said the company aimed to make Lavasa a city of life long learning by bringing to its residents some of the best names in academia.

Shantanu Prakash, managing director (MD), Educomp Solution, said Educomp's vision was to help build 150 world class schools by 2012 by provisioning infrastructure, educational content and learning materials.

He added the company's tie up with Lavasa Corporation was part of its long term strategic vision to enter into alliances with leading developers/infrastructure companies to bring high quality education to a larger population.
