Cyclone Phailin: Emergency numbers released for Odisha, Andhra

The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) has released emergency telephone numbers ahead of the 8 pm deadline for Cyclone Phailin to hit the coast of Odisha and Andhra.

Phailin, which was expected to make a landfall between 6 pm and 8 pm at Gopalpur in Odisha, however arrived an hour later, hitting Gopalpur coast at around 9 pm.

Around 2,600 NDRF personnel have been deployed in Orissa and Andhra Pradesh to tackle any emergency and avert danger.

NDRF also announced emergency contact numbers for the two states severely affected by the storm.
