Sun TV to step into aviation

Mumbai: Private broadcaster Sun TV has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that it is planning to start domestic and international aviation services for commercial and non-commercial purposes in the country and outside, and that it would seek shareholder approval for the same.

Sun said that results from the postal ballot would be announced on May 15.

The company will seek to transport passengers, freight and merchandise on national and international routes, it said.

Sun TV also intends to operate and provide chartered domestic and international aviation services along with scheduled services both for commercial and non- commercial purposes in India and outside, its release to the BSE said.
