Air Force chiefs of 37 countries to attend IAF's aerospace power seminar

New Delhi: Air Force chiefs of 37 countries, including those from all the major military and economic powers of the world, will attend the international aerospace power seminar in New Delhi. Hosted by the Indian Air Force, the seminar, dubbed as Air Dominance India 2007, will be held in the country's capital from February 4 to 5, and will provide a start to Indian Air Force's platinum jubilee celebrations this year.

The seminar will address the theme "Aerospace power in tomorrow's world".

The two day seminar will look at various areas of interest, including emerging geopolitical context of aerospace power; transformation of airpower-translating technology into doctrine, strategy, and application; joint operations-integrating aerospace operation and surface forces, cooperative aerospace operations in future.

The 37 countries that have confirmed their participation are Afghanistan, Australia, Botswana, Canada, Chile, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhistan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Netherland, Nigeria, Oman, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, the UK, the US, Uzbekistan and Vietnam.

Once the seminar concludes, the visiting Air Force heads will proceed to Air Force  Station Yelahanka and attend Aero-India 07, a aerospace and defence exposition held at Bangalore on a biennial basis.
