Polaroid, which pioneered instant photo printing, recently unveiled a new polaroid camera that instantly print pictures without any ink in its mechanism.

The Polaroid Snap, is dubbed by the company as 'the perfect blend of nostalgic Polaroid instant photography and sleek modern design,' PetaPixel reported.

Much like the company's recent product releases, the Polaroid Snap, is digital camera is  portable and aesthetically-elegant the right choice for roving camera enthusiasts.

The report said, the polaroid camera used Zero Ink or ZINK technology in printing images instantly and additionally, the device had heat-activated dye crystals to help print 2x3 images instantly after the user captured them.

To make things even more interesting, the Polaroid Snap allowed its user to capture images almost seamlessly, and even as the previous image was being printed. It also comes with a photobooth mode wherein the camera can shoot six images in 10 seconds.

The shots are facilitated by a 10MP lens that, reports say is pretty impressive for a digital camera in this price range. According to Daily Mirror, the device would need ZINK paper in order to print the images. A 50 piece-pack of ZINK paper  costs $25.

The Polaroid Snap itself would be on offer in a variety of colours including red, blue, black and white and would be priced at only $99 later this year.

Polaroid had released other instant cameras, like the Z2300, which used the company's ink-free Zink paper technology they are big, bulky and expensive.

The quality of the image too was an issue despite the fact the cameras had the same resolution as the Snap.

The plastic Snap camera is much like a toy, which is actually part of its charm.

On the top it has a big red shutter button and a self-timer button and a button to switch between modes (colour, sepia, and black and white) is located on the left, alongside a smaller button to toggle frame on and off.
