India, European Commission announce investment facilitation desk in Mumbai

Mumbai: The government of India and the European Commission, have set up an investment facilitation desk (IFD) for the country''s western region in Mumbai to help promote FDI from the EU to India. The initiative has been taken under the trade and investment development programme (TIDP).

Only half a dozen of the 27-member EU countries have a significant trade and investment relation with India and FDI flow to India from EU is far lower than that from other countries.
