Satyam, Microsoft announce enterprise readiness initiative

Satyam Computer Services Ltd and Microsoft Corp have announced that an industry enterprise readiness initiative, called EDGE, which is aimed at training and certifying the companies engineering work force on Microsoft technologies. Managed by the Satyam's Microsoft Global Alliance and the Satyam Learning Center, EDGE will train up to 3,000 Microsoft-certified professionals each year to ensure execution excellence on the Microsoft .NET technology for enterprise solutions.

As more customers begin to invest in Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Web services-based .NET service-oriented architecture (SOA) as the platform for their enterprise application solutions, Satyam is responding by scaling its .NET readiness efforts in a company-wide campaign.

Speaking about the launch, Ram Mynampati, president, Satyam, "EDGE will elevate and strengthen our quality and productivity on Microsoft technologies. It will play a key role in enhancing the business value we deliver to our customers. We are glad that we could work closely with Microsoft on this alliance and look forward to working toward creating a global level of training and readiness on the platform and thus create the value 'edge' for our customers."

The EDGE program will enable satyam's global work force, including campus recruits designers and architects, to access instructor-led training on Microsoft Official Curriculum courseware at the application and infrastructure level. It will also be supported by key Microsoft eLearning Library assets, MSDN Universal, and other dedicated certification assets.

Further, the EDGE programme will integrate with each other the Satyam and Microsoft alliance assets, such as Microsoft's architectural patterns and practices program and Adaptive Solutions Centres to create a unified approach to delivering productivity benefits to its global enterprise customers.

The Satyam Microsoft Global Alliance is geared toward establishing a global standard In technology partnerships that exemplifies deep, mutually beneficial global market value creation and engagement that is aligned to deliver consistent customer delight in all segments.
