Dabur eyes ready-to-cook food market; plans overseas expansion

Dabur India Ltd, the fourth-largest FMCG company in the country, plans to launch ready-to-cook products under its 'Hommade' brand to expand its share in the country's Rs2,800-crore packaged food business.

Reports also said the company is looking to expanad its market in West Asia through acquisitions.

Dabur's packaged foods business currently sells culinary products under the 'Hommade' brand and packaged fruit juices under the 'Real' and 'Activ' brands.

Dabur also sells honey under the 'Real' brand.

"We are looking at expanding the range soon, including entry into new formats of packaged food products, which are showing good potential," reports quoted Dabur India marketing head (foods) K K Chutani as saying.

The new products are expected to be launched in the beginning of the next fiscal, the reports said.
