Madhavan Nair is secretary, dept of space; chairman, ISRO

Chennai: Consequent to Dr K Kasturirangan's nomination to the Rajya Sabha, G Madhavan Nair has assumed the additional charge of the post of secretary, department of space, and related positions of chairman of the Space Commission the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

Nair, a distinguished scientist, at the time of the present appointment, was a member of the Space Commission and director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.
