AIG appoints Saurabh Sonthalia as the CEO of proposed Indian AMC

New Delhi: AIG today announced the appointment of Saurabh Sonthalia as CEO of AIG Global Investment Group's proposed asset management company in India.

Prior to joining AIG, Sonthalia rose to executive vice president and head, strategy and business development, DSP Merrill Lynch Fund Managers, where he spent 16 years in investment banking, private equity and asset management.

Sonthalia is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and an alumnus of the IIM-Ahmedabad.
