Infosys sets up development centre in Bhubaneshwar

Infosys Technologies, India's leading software services and consultancy companies, today announced that the commencement of the construction of its Software Development Centre at the Export Promotion Industrial Park in Bhubaneshwar, in the south eastern Indian state of Orissa, by performing the traditional brick laying rites.

The company has acquired 25 acres of land for this purpose to build the centre in two phases. In the first phase, the company is constructing 150,000 sq. ft. of office space which is likely to house 1,200 professionals in two software blocks. Besides the software block, the company has also planned for a facilities block and a food court.

The company already has a development centre at Bhubaneshwar which employs over 400 professionals. Senior company officials stated that the new development centre only highlights the company's commitment to the place.

Apart from Bhubaneshwar, the company has development centres in Bangalore, Pune, Chennai and Mangalore.
