Gujarat Ambuja declares final dividend of 90%

Gujarat Ambuja Cements Limited has reported an increase of 43 per cent in profit after tax of Rs518.09 crore (Rs2,414.96 crore in the last financial year) on a turnover of Rs3,085.47 crore, (Rs. 362.43 crore) — an increase of 28 per cent for the year ended June 30, 2005.

The company has declared a final dividend of 30 per cent, (on expanded capital arising out of bonus issue in the ratio of 1:2). After its interim dividend of 60 per cent the final dividend stands at 90 per cent for the current year. The total amount of dividend including tax is Rs215.70 crores, a payout ratio of 46 per cent.
