Modernisation of non-metro airports is ongoing, says MCA

The ministry of civil aviation has released a status report on the ongoing up-gradation and modernization work of various non-metro airports in the country. It said it has already completed development work at eight airports around the country, while work is ongoing at another fifteen.
The non-metro airports where development work has been completed are as follows:
Vizag (Andhra Pradesh)- construction of new integrated terminal building at a cost of Rs94.94 crore;
Surat (Gujarat)- development of airport with a cost of Rs105 crore;
Aurangabad (Maharashtra)- construction of new integrated terminal building with a cost of Rs 99.60 crore;
Nagpur (Maharashtra)- expansion and modification of terminal building for international operations at a cost of Rs79.03 crore;
