New Delhi:  GMR group-promoted Hyderabad international airport has decided not to impose any levies on international passengers for at least a month. The decision comes on the back of GMR's earlier decision to exempt domestic passengers as well.

According to GHIAL officials, issues such as ground-handling charges are being given time to stabilise before user development fees (UDF)-related matters are taken up for implementation. Officials said that UDF may be implemented after a month or so, however.

GHIAL's decision comes even as Bengaluru International Airport Ltd (BIAL) announced that fees for international passengers would be capped at Rs1,070, inclusive of 12.5 per cent service tax.

While the civil aviation ministry has asked GHIAL to waive UDF for domestic passengers for an initial period of four months, Bangalore has been asked not to implement it for a lesser period of three months.
