PR firm PROI reappoints Sharif Rangnekar as VP

The Board of Public Relations Organisation International (PROI) has reappointed Sharif D Rangnekar, director and CEO, Integral PR, as vice president for the Asia Pacific region for another one-year term.

With 46 partners, PROI is the largest global partnership of independent public relations firms, with combined 2008 fee income in excess of $293 million.

Rangnekar has been involved with the PROI at a Board level since 2006,  being re-appointed as its vice president more than once. He is also vice president of Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI).

A former journalist and a writer, Rangnekar has been actively involved in the PR and communications business since 2003 as Director of Integral PR and then as its CEO and Director.

The Asia Pacific region has increased its presence in China and added Australia. Soon PROI will enter Vietnam, Malaysia, and perhaps Thailand. The past two years has seen the addition of partners China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea and Australia.
