Compact Disc India Ltd (CDI) has signed a $82 million contract with a British film production house for producing an animation feature film on Hitler. The film is a joint production of British and Hollywood studios, CDI said in a release.

The contract also includes developing and merchandising three video games based on Hitler.

This feature film, which will be released during the second half of the year 2013, will cover Adolf Hitler's 12 years as ruler of Germany, which led to the deaths of millions in World War II as also the instigation of the Holocaust.

CDI, the largest animation film company in South Asia, had earlier signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with BBC Films to co-produce film, `Blame it On The Bhangra'.

Compact Disc said its two animated feature films, Eternal Love and Futebol (with legendary Brazilian football king Pele) are progressing well. The demo reels of the two feature films will be ready by May 2010. Once the promos are ready, the company will enter distribution agreements for the worldwide distribution. These films will be released in theatres during the year 2011.

The company is expected to generate revenues of $35.75 million (Rs173.40 crore) from Eternal Love and $60.10 million (Rs291.50 crore) from Pele's Futebol film, including brand licensing and merchandising.
