Dubai: Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has been named as the World's Best Airport in the 15-25 million passengers per annum category at the Airport Council International's Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards 2006.

San Diego Airport in the US and Zurich Airport in Switzerland were at the second and third place in the category. The award presentation ceremony was held here last night in conjunction with the two-day Airport Council International (ACI), Airport Business and Trinity Forum hosted by the Dubai International Airport.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) managing director Bashir Ahmad said the award was very important because it was given by the ACI after its survey on airport services and infrastructure, which gave passengers full satisfaction.
