Reliance Jio partners with AeroMobile to offer in-flight mobile services

Reliance Jio Infocomm and AeroMobile, a subsidiary of Panasonic Avionics Corporation, have teamed up to launch India’s first in-flight mobile phone services for Jio Post paid Plus users.

The first Indian operator to launch an in-flight roaming bundle, Jio’s in-flight service will allow Jio consumer travelling abroad to stay connected with voice and data services on a flight, at affordable rates, says a Reliance Jio press release.
To start with, the in-flight service will be available to customers when they travel abroad. Once the services are rolled out in the Indian airspace, all Jio customers will have first access to them, so that they are connected even on flights within India.
